Our Story

Moran Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. (MMT) was formed in 1988 by John Moran and has continued to grow and expand its areas of expertise in the mining sector. In 1999, MMT expanded operations into the United States. This new American service centre is a compliment to the Canadian operations and provides a more immediate reaction to the demands of the American mining industry. Since its inception, the company has expanded to include Moran Fabricating and Mine Equipment Resources to provide a full-service offering.

John Moran began his career in mining in the 1960s as a labourer in Nova Scotia. Before opening his own company John progressed into different mining roles leading into management. John has successfully led the company through expansion and working with leading mining companies in North America.
